Hi Pilgrim,

What happens when you are part of a church leadership team and your spouse tells you he doesn’t believe in God anymore?  Marylee Hackman shares the challenges and breakthroughs as she and her husband found a better, more “Christ-like” life, outside of religious belief.

Last week my brother, who is a former Bible quiz champ and Christian church planter, discussed issues of faith from his new perspective and a devout atheist.  At one point we called Andrew’s wife Mary Lee down into the basement (yes, we recorded this episode live at our mom & dad’s house in the basement we used to play in as kids) to ask her what it was like for her as the wife of a church leader who became an atheist.

What she shares is eye opening especially the attitude of the church they helped establish had towards them once they were no longer on the same team so to speak.

This episode will resonate with many of you especially married couples who begin to find themselves on different spiritual roads.  How do you face it?  What do you tell the kids?  You’ll find Marylee’s  open heart as she shares how she addressed these challenges funny, shocking, and hopefully inspirational
